The green ECO FUNCTIONALITY label found on Doro’s new DECT products is part of the company’s commitment to environmentally aware customers “A lot of people today want to make better choices from an environmental perspective,” says Camilla Nilsson, Marketing Director at Doro. “The problem is that with products like ours, it’s not always easy to know which choices are better.”

Reduce the environmental impact

Doro therefore implemented its ECO FUNCTIONALITY program with two main goals in mind: “To see how we can reduce the impact of our products on the environment, and to guide customers to these products,” Camilla Nilsson explains. To qualify for the label, a cordless DECT product must offer reduced power consumption in both operational and standby modes. Also, transmission power between the handset and the base unit must automatically adjust to the distance between the two units, using less power when closer together.
