We haven’t dropped it in the sourdough – yet!

It may not be Hell’s Kitchen, but Per’s stone oven bakery is no place for ordinary phones and PMRs

Per manages an old-fashioned bakery well known for its sourdough bread baked in a traditional stone oven. “Our kitchen is a lot tougher environment you might think, but people love our bread and we enjoy making it this way.” The problem says Per is very high humidity and flour everywhere, two conditions that reek havoc on electronic devices.
“We’ve gone through three cordless phones in the past year, and the walkie talkies we bought pretty much died right away.” Now Per and his co-workers are using Doro’s rugged 750x cordless phone and waterproof wt91xpro walkie talkies. “So far they’ve been working great, even covered with flour.”

“In fairness I should add that things get pretty hectic in the kitchen and we sometimes drop things….like phones. Thankfully this one has been able to handle its share of bumps.”
