Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sim Free Doro 6030 Flip Model Phone This is a great mobile phone where the screen lettering size is variable (small to Large) and the volume (low to high). Very easy to set up and use great for those senior individuals that just want to make and receive calls plus texts. There sre other features but do not have to be set up if not required.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent mobile I bought this phone for my elderly uncle. He has trouble with new technology but is confidently using this Doro mobile. The buttons are well spaced and the screen is clear. There is an option to make the text larger too. One feature that I really like is an emergency help button to call for assistance if the user is unwell or in distress. I highly recommend this mobile if you don't want or need all the bells and whistles of a smart phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Phone good for the partially sighted Purchased this mobile phone for my mother aged 90, partially sighted for many years through Diabetises. The overall view to this phone is greatly enhanced by larger dial numbers. To have the benefit of the ICE (In Case of Emergency) facility. She has found it easy to use the mobile phone, after showing and demonstrating and making calls, she love's it. Well done Doro, for making my mother's life much more enjoyable especially to contacting family and friends that much more easier and better.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice phone, still easy to use but some areas of design seem to have regressed Just bought this phone for my 86 year old mother. Some aspects of the design have made it more difficult to use compared to her previous Doro clamshell phone: The buttons are now smaller, the back is almost impossible to take off, up down arrows on the central key are gone (now replaced with lines) and it is a two step process to turn the phone off (previously one step). The emergency button is no longer highlighted by a white surround and you need to go online for setup information on important functions like that emergency call button (many elderly people who buy this phone are not internet savvy). Finally, the mini USB plug for the charger is quite difficult for an elderly person to use. The previous round plug was easier to connect. The phone is still a nice design and easier to use than most - just a pity that some of the factors which contributed to ease of use in the previous version seem to have been removed from this phone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fit for purpose Bought for elderly parent. After a problem with 3 network SIM card it then worked fine on a Vodafone one. (Was in an area known to be weak for 3 but I couldn't risk it not working -phone only 'found' Vodafone, O2 and EE networks even after changing location). After that, phone has worked well and parent is very happy. Camera generates low quality images, almost not worth having the feature but this isn't why we chose that phone. Calls and texts work very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One happy dad! I bought this phone for my dad who is in his late 70s and going deaf. I wanted to get him a clamshell one and had heard good things about Doro phones. It was super easy to set up. The screen is a good size and dad loves the bigger font size. Where the text or phone number is longer than the width of the screen, it will scroll slowly to show the remainder of the line entry. Buttons are big and easy to press. Sound quality is good. I've never seen dad so happy using a mobile before - thumbs up!
